Art Deco Zsolnay Porcelain Hungarian Bull
Authentic antique Art Deco Zsolnay Porcelain Hungarian Bull (Szürkemarha) designed by András Sinkó, circa 1930, signed under the glaze SINKO.
Marked: painted "five church-steeples" logo and impressed “14”
Dimensions: Length: 32 cm (12 5/8 in). Height: approx. 15 cm (5 7/8 in). Width: 11.5 cm (4 ¼ in).
Sinko was born in Kalotaszeg on November 30th, 1901 - Budapest, died September 10th, 1976. He studied at Hungarian Royl School of Applied Arts. In 1928 he immigrated to Paris where he lived and worked until 1930. Many of his works were exhibited at the Paris Salon. Margit Sikorszki Zsolnay took note of his works in exhibition of Hungarian Applied Arts Company on 1935 and she bought all of his 29 works. Then he works only for the Zsolnay Factory.
