Antique 19th c Russian Lacquered Papier Mache Snuff Box Ukrainian Cossack

Rare Antique,19th century, Russian, lacqered paper mache snuff box of rectangular shape, possibly made by the Lukutin Factory(apparently unmarked). The cover, with iron hinges, depicts a finely hand painted figure of an Ukrainian Cossack in traditional clothing, playing the violin.

 
CONDITION: In good condition, showing the age and usage, with beautiful patina, minor wear, some chips on the edges of the bottom.
