Ancient Roman Silver Military Armour Phalera with Marcus Aurelius 2nd c AD
SOLD Extremely Rare Ancient 2nd Century A.D. Solid Silver Roman Leggings military award, “Phalera” of domed medallion form, decorated in the center with the Portrait head of Emperor Marcus Aurelius (please see the link below)enclosed by applied wire in a swirled pattern. The reverse mounted with its original iron clasp for attachment.

CONDITION: In its original very fine condition, complete, showing the age and usage, with a dark patina with calcified earthen deposits. Scratch mark on the rim of the interior from testing the silver.
