SOLD Antique 17th -18th Century Islamic Mughal India Brass Cup Or Bowl

SOLD Antique 18th century Islamic Mughal Indian two handled cast brass cup or drinking bowl of rounded form with gently incurved rim, resting on a short vertical foot. The exterior is decorated with carved radiating lotus-petal lappets, the flat lobed handles are decorated with a floral pattern. 
 
The form of this bowl is with flat lobed handles and is similar to the 13th-14th century Golden Horde and Ilkhanid drinking cups, or 'belt-bowls”, except that the golden horde cups were with a larger single handle. However, it is possible that the Indian Mughal maker was inspired by the Mongol golden horde cups. Many other Indian Mughal art work were made in a Central Asian - Mongol manner.

CONDITION: In good condition considering its age and usage, the surface with a dark patina, worn out on the exposed areas.
