Antique 19th Century Turkish Ottoman Islamic Silver Coffee Pot Kahvedan
Superb quality antique 19th or early 20th century (circa 1860-1922 A.D.) Turkish Ottoman Empire Islamic solid silver coffee pot (Kahvedan) of elegant bulbous form with a curving spout with a hinged domed lid. The handle is downscrolled and adorned with bird head finials. The upper body is decorated with bands of stylized palm tree leaves and rings with granulated pattern in the style of early 19th century French silver decoration.
Fully Hallmarked with Imperial Ottoman Sultan tughra, sah assay marks, and a hallmark in the form of a bird.
