A fine antique Edo Period 1603 -1868 AD Japanese samurai knife handle Kozuka, made of the gold inlaid copper-gold alloy (shakudō). Exterior adorned with a finely executed gold inlaid raised design depicting a Buddhist Lion Shishi and floral pattern on the Nanako ground.
