SOLD A pair of antique, Islamic Ottoman stirrups, 19th century, Libya of characteristic Turkish Ottoman form made for Turkish dignitary in Ottoman Libya-Vilayet of Tripolitania, ( ولايت طرابلس غرب. ) Each composed of several elements of cast and chiseled brass decorated in openwork with an intricate spray of foliage. The rectangular base, foliate sides and arched with suspension loop are made separately and soldered together.
