Antique miniature portrait from 19th-century France. It was finely hand-painted with watercolor and gouache on a natural wafer and is protected by a glass cover with convex edges. This miniature is contemporary to the Napoleonic period and vividly portrays a young Napoleon Bonaparte as the First Consul of the French Republic. The painting captures the charismatic personality of the legendary leader, exuding an aura of his authority and power.

The painting exhibits the artist's exceptional skill in portraying a realistic face with stunning eyes, lips, hair, and uniform details. It is an oval miniature in a diamond-shaped bronze frame, handcrafted using delicate filigree wire twisted and soldered with great precision. The frame has a suspension loop and a velvet silk fabric lining on the back.
