Ancient Chinese Silver Inlaid Bronze Mirror Tang Dynasty 618-907 AD
Authentic Rare Ancient Chinese, Tang Dynasty (618-907 AD), silver – inlaid, thinly cast bronze, circular hand mirror. The front of the mirror is decorated with silver inlaid with three lotus leaf motifs near the outer rim, the inner site has remains of the silver plating.
CONDITION: In good condition considering its age, with beautiful green patina showing its age and usage. The mirror originally had a handle which at some point was broken off. Ancient Chinese Bronze mirrors with a handle are very rare. Most of the Chinese bronze mirrors of traditional construction are without a handle, set with a central knob for a silk cord suspension.
