Antique Polish Cavalry Pancerni Lance Head 17th Century Poland

Rare antique 17th-century Polish armored cavalry "Pancerni," a large combat lance head made of hand forged steel.
DETAILS: The leaf-shaped blade with a double-edged, tapered blade with a sharp point is reinforced on one side with a central rib with hollowed sides and flattened on the opposite side.
The integral ferrule with the conical base extending to the flattened tang is pierced on the end with a rectangular hole for the peg that fastens the blade to the wooden haft.
The construction of the spearhead, including a sharp point and a central rib, is designed for piercing through chainmail.

A display of a fully armed 17th century Polish "Pancery" in the collection of the Polish Army Museum (Muzeum Wojska Polskiego) in Warsaw (Poland) armed with a lance with an identical steelhead, is published in the book "Zbiory Muzeum Wojska Polskiego w Warszawie" by Elzbieta Leszczyriska. Page 34.
