Ancient Celtic Bronze Torc - Torque 7th-3rd century B.C. Necklace
Authentic ancient 7th-3rd century B.C. Celtic Bronze Torc - Torque with coiled ends. Thick rod with circular section, flattened terminal coils. Tight spiral grooves incised on the whole surface, except on the portions adjacent to the coils.
This type of “torc”, with spiral twist with hook ends. Are date to the Middle Bronze Age (1400 to 1100BC) at the earliest, and the Iron Age (300 to 100BC) at the latest.
The other similar Torc but made of gold is in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art New York.
