SOLD Antique early 19th century of superb quality, finely hand painted miniature portrait of a young Girl Wearing a white dress on the blue background, set in the original gold gild copper frame with a suspension loop, the reverse backed by a fabric under the glass. Judging by the mounting of the miniature and the style of the loop and the glass backing, the miniature most likely was worn as a pendant.

Technique: Watercolor on organic wafer.

Dimensions of the oval frame not including the loop: High: 5.9 cm (2.32 inches). Wide:4.7 cm (1.85 inches).

CONDITION: This original painting is in very good condition, with no restorations, or repairs, frame showing its age and usage, some wear to the gold gilding.
