SOLD Antique Indo - Persian sword, shamshir,Talwar - Tulwar 18th century Mughal India.
DETAILS: An Iron hilt of typical form comprised of a cross-guard formed with a pair of short quillons with swollen terminals and long shaped langets, a knuckle bow terminating in a dragon head, with a sturdy curved single edged steel blade of rare form with back edge decorated with notched pattern, deeply stamped on the face with "gurda" or sickle mark. CONDITION: Signs of usage and wear, Blade and hilt are pitted.
