SOLD A pair of authentic antique Qing dynasty 18th -19th century Chinese, elaborately carved, rosewood wall panels appliqué with jade and hardstone. Each enclosing a finely carved, in low relief, jade vase on a stand with waisted neck with upright leaf lappets, double ring handles on the sides, decorated on the center with ruyi head motive and filled with leaves and a flowering branch, flanked by the Buddhist guardian fu lion “shishi”, all on a yellow ochre painted background. Fitted on the top with their original bronze supporting handles.

CONDITION: One of the panels has a jade leaf broken off and one stone missing from a flowering branch. The wood has age cracks.

MEASUREMENTS: Height of each approx: 44 cm (17 3/8 in) including bronze handle. Width: 20.3 cm (8 in). Deep: 3.8 cm (1 1/2 in)
