Antique late 19th -early 20th century Masonic gilt copper Royal Arch Masonic Medal Companion breast jewel, worn by the Royal Arch's companions, a degree of Freemasonry.

Complete with white ribbon, button flanked by two bars, and stick pin at the back for wearing with its fine original leather case wallet fitted with velvet liner.

Entirely handmade, finely cut, pierced and engraved gilt metal, medal in the form of the Seal of Solomon, being a six-pointed double triangle star, within a ring with circular pendant below, with loop and ornate bar for ribbon suspension; the face with the Seal bearing a triangle, with the radiant Sun centrally from which issue a pair of compasses supporting the Earth, the arms of the Seal inscribed ‘EYPHKAMEN (Eurekamen) INVENIMUS CULTOR DEI CIVIS MUNDI’ (We have found the worship of God, o citizen of the world), the ring inscribed ‘SI TALIA JUNGERE POSSIS SIT TIBI SIRE SATIS’ (If you can comprehend these things, you know enough) and ‘A٠L A٠D’ (for Anno Lucis = Year of Light, start of the Masonic calendar in 4000 B.C. and Anno Domini = Year of Our Lord, start of the Christian calendar), a circular pendant below representing the Earth and bearing a triple tau, an encircling ribbon inscribed ‘NIL NISI CLAVIS DEEST’ (nothing is wanting but the key); the reverse with the Seal bearing a triangle, with the radiant Sun centrally from which issue a pair of compasses supporting the Earth, the arms of the Seal inscribed ‘WISDOM STRENGTH BEAUTY PEACE CONCORD TRUTH’, the ring inscribed ‘ DEO REGI ET FRATRIBUS HONOR FIDELITAS BENEVOLENTIA’ (For God king and the brethren honour fidelity and benevolence), a circular pendant below representing the Earth and bearing a triple tau, an encircling ribbon inscribed ‘EXALTEO’ (I exalt); on original ribbon with ornate buckle and top bar with stick pin for wear.
