SOLD Semi - Antique Islamic North African Maghrebi Arab Spahis Saddle, consists of 6 pieces: a wooden tree constructed with a tall round pommel and cantle covered by Rawhide, saddle blanket, saddle cover, breast plate, headstall, and crown. All pieces are made of leather and decorated with embroidery in a repeated floral design.

Dimensions of the saddle blanket: 101 cm x 77 cm (39 3/4 in x 30 1/4 in).

Dimensions of the saddle; Overall length: 63 cm (24 3/4 in). Height: 45 cm (17 3/4 in).

CONDITION: Signs of usage and wear, some staining marks on the leather, some lost to the thread on the green trimming of the saddle blanket. Iron buckles partly rusty. The fabric liners are a later replacement.
