SOLD Antique late 19th century Philippine Muslim Moro - Islamic dagger – Punal. Details: A sturdy double edged flamboyant steel blade chiseled at the base, both sides of the forte, with a scrolling motif, engraved copper oval guard with elaborated copper ferrule, with large central knob, bone lobed pistol grip. In its original gilt copper scabbard with a suspension mount chased over its full surface with scrollwork.

CONDITION: In good condition overall, retains much gilt finish with minor wear. Fine age patina with signs of usage, this is one of the better examples of a Punal which we have encountered.
