SOLD Authentic Antique and Rare Pre-Columbian Aztec Ceremonial Sacrificial flint blade knife, TECPATLIXQUAHUA .Late Classic circa. 1175 to 1521 AD. The TECPATLIXQUAHUA was used in Aztec human sacrificial rites. In an early period of time the blade was used without a handle, however, as time progressed, in the late period of Aztec culture they were mounted in elaborated handles; as you can see in the movie Apocalypto.

CONDITION: In good condition showing its age and usage, minor chip to the point with age patina, the calcified mineral deposits, strongly visible on the surface of the blade, are strong and excellent indicators of the authenticity of this piece.

DIMENSIONS: Length: 20 cm (7 7/8 in). Width: At the widest point: 6 cm (2 3/8 in).
