SOLD An extremely fine quality Antique Chinese 19th Century Qing Dynasty Embroidered Silk Art Panel finely embroidered with satin threads in Forbidden Stitch and Peking knot with flowers and auspicious symbols including large bats, bordered by black silk bands woven with floral pattern .The back lined in plain silk stamped with small red seal.
DIMENSIONS: Approximately when placed flat: Length: 54 cm (21.26 inches) Width: 30 cm (11.81 inches).
CONDITION: Showing the age and usage, some missing threads some tears black silk bands worn with tears. We do not perform any repairs or restorations on our antiques. There are no holes or applied patches. Please note that this is an antique, over 100 year old textile, which was well used, so a perfect condition cannot be expected.
This embroidery comes from an old Canadian collection of Oriental Art, including many Chinese robes and related items which we are in the process of photographing and placing for sale for the first time.
