SOLD Authentic Antique 19th century Turkish Ottoman Ceremonial dagger Khanjar Islamic Jambiya.

A steel hilt and scabbard of typical Ottoman form richly damascened on the outer face with silver koftgari foliage and lobed cartouches within a linear framework enclosing gold inlaid Arabic script. The inner side of the hilt and the scabbard is damascened with silver koftgari checkered pattern.

With curved double-edged broad blade, decorated on the both sides of the forte ensuite with the hilt and scabbard with silver koftgari on outer side with scrolls and on the inner side with checkered pattern

MEASUREMENTS: Overall length of the Khanjar sheathed in the scabbard: 33 cm (13 in), the Overall length without the scabbard: 31cm (12 1/4 in). Length of the blade: 19 cm (7 1/2 in). Width of the blade: 5.9 cm (12 3/8 in).

CONDITION: The dagger is in very good condition considering its age, with minor wear, minor dent on the front of the scabbard near the mouth.
