SOLD Antique, late 18th century, European circular pewter plate dish, portrait profile relief of Marie Antoinette, inscribed 'M.ANT.ARCHI.SE D'AUTRICHE DAUPHINE DE FRANCE'; The front rim engraved with garlands and stamped with two touch marks of the maker with letters “P” and “E”. The back stamped with touch marks of the maker and Dragon-slaying archangels, depicting Archangel Michael holding a sword in one hand and a shield in the other with Satan underfoot, flanked by letters “D” and possibly “F”.
CONDITION: Showing the age and usage with lovely patina. Free of repairs or restoration, with an old paper label on the back.
MEASUREMENTS: Diameter: 23 cm (9 in).
WEIGHT: 458 grams (16.16 ounces).
