SOLD Authentic Ancient, circa 5th -7th century A.D. Byzantine bronze- copper alloy crucifix, in the early form of crux quadrata, or Greek cross, with four equal arms. The cross is composed of two, hand forged, bronze parts held at the center with a small rivet and fitted with two, hand forged, bronze suspension chains.

MEASUREMENTS: Overall length with the chains: 102.5 cm (40.35 inches). Cross dimensions approximately: 13 cm x 13 cm (5.12 inches x 5.12 inches).
CONDITION: In its original condition showing the age and usage, with a nice dark patina. No repairs or restorations.
