SOLD Antique 19th century Imperial German – Prussian Artillery Officer Sword Sabre
SOLD Antique, late 19th century Imperial German – Prussian Artillery officer sword with slightly curved fullered nickel plaited steel blade light etched with stands of trophies and scrolling foliage .Brass hilt cast in relief, including down –turned quillon with lionhead terminal, langet bearing a pair of crossed cannon, and back-strap decorated with foliage rising to a lionhead pommel, leather covered, wooden grip bound with roped wire. In its black lacquered steel scabbard with two suspensions mounts.
CONDITION: Showing its age and usage. The leather covered grip is worn in several areas. The nickel-plating on the blade is slightly flaking.
