SOLD Antique 19th century Ormolu French Mantel Clock

SOLD Antique 19th century circa 1860, gilt bronze (Ormolu) French mantel clock surmounted by the sculpture of the knight sitting on a rock and wearing richly decorated Gothic armor and holding in his right hand a sword. His left arm is resting on the large shield decorated with double-headed eagle emblem.
The case is inset with celeste blue Serves porcelain plaques painted with flowers.
The clock face has a white enamel dial signed “GASKIN A PARIS” with applied black enamel Roman numeral hour designations and fancy pierced clover form hands. 8-Day movement striking on a bell on the half hour and on the hour.
