SOLD Antique 18th/ 19th century Turkish Ottoman Balkan - Greek Brass Coffee Pot
SOLD Antique, late 18th/early 19th century, Ottoman, Balkan - Greek, brass coffee pot with bulbous body, rising to a waisted neck with a curved spout and hinged, domed cover with knob shaped finial, attached to the curving handle. The body and the lid applied with 37 various size circular medallions embossed with Hellenistic motives including figures of Helios on the chariot, Griffin and Bacchus.
MEASUREMENTS: Width: handle to spout: 17 cm (6.69 inches) Height: 16.5 cm (6 1/2 inches).
CONDITION: In good condition considering its age, showing the age and usage with lovely dark patina. The bottom of the pot is tinned for boiling water over an open fire.
