SOLD Rare Antique, 17th/18th century, Islamic Ottoman or Persian wooden Saddle with a tall gullet and cantle, inlaid with bone plaques decorated with incised circles. The leather seat is decorated in lacquer polychrome, depicting two horsemen hunting gazelle, enclosed by scrolling leafy tendrils and adorned with domed metal studs.

CONDITION: Signs of usage and wear, some bone strips are missing and chipped throughout, one of the rear bars with old repair.

MEASUREMENTS: Overall length: 46 cm (18 1/8 in). Height: 33 cm (13 in).
