SOLD Scarce antique 19th century Turkish Ottoman Naval officer's sword of rare model, patterned after French naval regulation saber M 1837.
Details: Slightly curved single edge fullered blade with Damascus pattern. Gold gild brass semi-basket hilt pierced and chiseled in low relief with foliage adorned on the center with Turkish Ottoman Imperial Navy crest, anchor with crescent and star
Ribbed horn grip, backpiece with integral helmet pommel decorated in rococo ornament. A sturdy slightly curved single–edged blade with full length fuller etched with Damascus pattern, with its steel scabbard with two suspensions rings.
MEASUREMENTS: Overall length in the scabbard: 102 cm (40 1/8 in), the Overall length without the scabbard: 95.5 cm (37 5/8).
CONDITION: In good condition considering its age (showing its age and usage).
