Islamic Turkish Ottoman Helmet Misurka In 17th century Style
An extremely well made old copy of 17th century Islamic Turkish Ottoman cavalry helmet, “Misurka” with a hand hammered shallow domed iron skull plate adorned with four cabochon turquoises in filigree copper setting, amongst small copper discs topped by domed silver bosses adorned with fine granulation work The top applied with copper rosette with silvered interior, affixed on the center with bud shaped brass finial with iron ring for suspension, all riveted to the iron skull plate. Chain mail camail formed of solid iron rings suspended from the rim.
