Antique Indian tribal Banjara Patchwork textile, composed of intricately multi-colored hand embroidered elements and small mirrors, in typical Banjara motifs, Western India Rajasthan or Gujarat.
Most likely a part of the tent panel altered in the 20th century to the decorative tapestry.
The local artisans of the Rajasthan or Gujarat are still making textiles in traditional Banjara style, however, these modern fabrics are not as fine quality as the old ones and do not have any historical, or investment value.
CONDITION: Overall in good condition showing its age and usage, some minor loose and missing threads, partial age related wear, the back lining with some dirty spots.
